टैली (Tally) में कॉस्ट सेंटर (Cost Centre – लागत केंद्र) किसी संगठन की वो इकाई (जैसे विभाग, प्रोडक्ट) होती है जहाँ खर्च या आय बांटी जाती है, जबकि कॉस्ट कैटेगरी (Cost Category – लागत श्रेणी) इन कॉस्ट सेंटर्स के ग्रुप (समूह) होते हैं, जो रिपोर्टिंग के लिए समान लागतों (जैसे सभी विभागों के खर्चे) को एक साथ दिखाने में मदद करते हैं, जिससे आप लागतों का विश्लेषण बेहतर ढंग से कर पाते हैं 

            In Tally, a Cost Centre is an organizational unit (such as a department or product) where expenses or income is allocated, while a Cost Category is a group of these Cost Centres.  Cost Categories help in grouping similar costs together for reporting purposes (such as expenses across all departments), allowing for better analysis of costs.

कॉस्ट सेंटर (Cost Centre – लागत केंद्र)

यह एक ऐसी इकाई है जिसे किसी खर्च या आय को आवंटित (allocate) किया जाता है, जैसे किसी कंपनी का सेल्स डिपार्टमेंट, प्रोडक्शन डिपार्टमेंट, या कोई खास प्रोडक्ट.

This is an entity to which an expense or income is allocated, such as a company’s sales department, production department, or a specific product.

कॉस्ट सेंटर (लागत केंद्र) किसी कंपनी का वह विभाग या कार्य है जो सीधे राजस्व नहीं कमाता, बल्कि व्यवसाय के संचालन के लिए आवश्यक खर्च करता है, जैसे HR, IT, या अकाउंट्स; इसका मुख्य उद्देश्य यह ट्रैक करना है कि विभिन्न विभाग कितने खर्च कर रहे हैं, ताकि व्यय को नियंत्रित किया जा सके और दक्षता बढ़ाई जा सके, जिसे अक्सर बजट की तुलना में वास्तविक लागतों को देखकर मापा जाता है। 

A cost center is a department or function within a company that does not directly generate revenue but incurs expenses necessary for the operation of the business, such as HR, IT, or accounting; its primary purpose is to track how much various departments are spending so that expenses can be controlled and efficiency improved, which is often measured by comparing actual costs to budgeted amounts.

यह एक से ज़्यादा कॉस्ट सेंटर्स का समूह (group) होती है, जिससे आप संबंधित खर्चों को एक साथ देख सकें, खासकर राजस्व (revenue) और गैर-राजस्व मदों के लिए

This is a group of multiple cost centers, allowing you to view related expenses together, especially for revenue and non-revenue items.

टैली (Tally) में कॉस्ट कैटेगरी (Cost Category), लागत केंद्रों (Cost Centers) के एक समानांतर सेट को बनाने और उन्हें व्यय (Expenses) या आय (Income) आवंटित करने का एक तरीका है, जिससे आप अपनी लागतों को अलग-अलग विभागों (जैसे बिक्री, उत्पादन) या राजस्व (राजस्व मद) और गैर-राजस्व (पूंजीगत मद) के आधार पर ट्रैक कर सकें; यह आपको केवल कुछ चुनिंदा लागत केंद्रों में ही व्यय दिखाने की सुविधा देती है, न कि सभी में, जिससे प्रबंधन रिपोर्टिंग आसान हो जाती है

In Tally, Cost Categories provide a way to create a parallel set of cost centers and allocate expenses or income to them, allowing you to track your costs based on different departments (such as sales, production) or revenue (revenue items) and non-revenue (capital items); this enables you to show expenses only in selected cost centers, rather than all of them, making management reporting easier.
